Flower Pot Toss

Materials
  • Pot
  • Beanbags
Directions
  • Toss beanbags into flower pots
  • Further flower pot is higher the points
  • Person with most points win

Hand Flowers

Materials

  • Construction Paper
  • Markers
  • Glue

Directions

  • Color in a paper green/use green construction paper and cut out a stem of a flower
  • Trace you hand on colorful piece of paper; do this three times
  • Layer the hands on top of one another
  • Attach to stem with glue




Kaleidoscope

Materials
  • Clear Plastic Cup
  • Rubber band
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Tissue Paper
  • Tape 
Directions
  • Take the cup and cover it completely in plastic wrap
  • Carefully rip small pieces of tissue paper and arrange them on the top of the cup
  • Cover the top of the cup with a piece of plastic wrap; you can make it stay by wrapping a rubber band around the cup
  • Repeat the same step, except do it on the bottom of the cup
  • You have your kaleidoscope







Paper Flowers

Materials
  • Square Piece of Paper
Directions

  • Fold Paper in half like triangle
  • Do it on the other side
  • Take a corner and fold it into the center (do this to all corners)
  • Flip over
  • Now with new square fold corners into the center
  • Flip over
  • Fold all the corners again
  • Now fold the flaps over
  • Open all of them out

Paper Towel Flowers

Materials
  • Paper towel
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Paint brush
Directions
  • Decorate paper towel with markers
  • Paint water onto the towels so the color spreads
  • Squeeze to dry
  • Rip and tear in to little squares
  • Scrunch squares into balls
  • Dip into glue to connect parts together
  • Take a strip of paper towel and color it green
  • Wrap strip around bottom of bundle

Pinwheel

Materials
  • Paper
  • Straw
  • Fastener 
Directions
  • Fold the paper in half on the diagonal and with it folded, cut the remaining paper off
  • Fold the paper on the diagonals
  • Draw lines on the diagonals
  • Cut a line about 1/3 of the inch in on all four lines
  • Decorate the paper
  • Take the end of the blade that is right to the corner and stick it in the center
  • Do this to the other three blades
  • To cover the center, cut a little circle and glue it
  • In the middle punch a hole through it
  • Put the fastener through the hole, spreading it out
  • Punch a hole through a straw
  • Insert the pinwheel through the straw

Salt Dough Flower Fingerprints

Materials

  • Salt Dough
  • ¼  cup salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼  cup water
  • Flower cookie cutter

Directions

  • Mix ingredients together
  • Knead dough together
  • Roll salt dough to ½ thickness and cut out shapes using cookie cutter
  • With the flowers, use thumbs to gently press into the petals
  • Bake at 250 degrees for 2-3 hours




Spongee Flyers

Materials

  • Sponges
  • 1 plastic Cable tie or Gimp
  • 1 large rubber band
  • Scissors

Directions

  • Cut the sponge into thirds lengthwise
  • Stack the cut sponges on top of each other
  • Grab the stack of sponges in the center and twist the stack once
  • Secure a plastic cable tie or a piece of gimp around the center pulling as tight as possible
  • Trim the plastic cable tie
  • Put the rubber band on the tip of your thumb, pull back the sponge ball and shoot



Tissue Paper Roses

Materials
  • Tissue paper
  • Pipe cleaner

Directions

  • Take the number of tissue paper you want (usually 3) on top of each other
  • Fold them together accordion style (back and forth)
  • Take the pipe cleaner and twist it around the tissue paper, dividing it in half
  • Unfold tissue paper, being careful to not rip it
  • Open up and fix the paper in to the flower shape
  • You have your flower!
