  • No one could find a use for it
  • The “nutty putty” spread and people really liked it
  • Ruth Fallgatter, a toy store owner has the idea to sell the bouncing putty as a toy
  • First considered a novelty item (toy for adults)
  • In 1955 it was sold as a kids toy
  • It has been taken to the moon
  • There are some uses such as a lint remover, balancing wobbly furniture, hole stopper, and stress reliever
